For New Zealand agents going independent
A complete brand launch for real estate agents going out on their own — identity, signage, and the listing tools that win business. Live on day one.
The franchise did quiet work for you that you probably never counted. Vendors trusted the sign before they trusted you. The pre-list kit was already printed. The website already existed.
On day one of your own agency, none of that is true. And the first listing you pitch for will be against an office with forty years of brand behind it.
There is no grace period. A vendor deciding between you and a national brand makes that call in the first eight seconds — on your signage, your appraisal document, and whether you look like a real business or someone who just left one.
Not a logo. The whole launch — strategy through to the signs in the ground and the kit you put in a vendor's hands.
Added when you're ready
Mike Goatley left a national franchise to trade under his own name across Christchurch, Selwyn and the West Coast — residential and commercial, nineteen people.
Every piece below was built from nothing in under six months — brand strategy and naming through to the signs in the ground, the pre-list kit, the website, and the migration off the franchise systems.
agente.co.nz — custom build
Agent profiles, two divisions, listings fed straight from the CRM — not typed in by hand. Designed, built and integrated by the same person who drew the signboards, so the brand holds together everywhere a vendor looks.
Shown to relative scale

Every size your signwriter asks for, drawn to spec and supplied print-ready. Not one artwork stretched to fit.

CMA booklet & market appraisal

“The real estate industry demands both speed and quality, and Ben has reliably provided us with excellent designs that meet our fast-paced needs.”Mike G. — Director, Agenté Real Estate
Plenty of designers will quote you less. Here's what the quote doesn't cover.
1800 × 1200, 600 × 1400, 900 × 1200, 600 × 900, 600 × 450 Open Home. Corflute versus ACM. Frame allowances, drill positions, bleed that isn't print bleed. A generalist sends an A3 RGB PDF and the signwriter sends it straight back.
Every piece of advertising has to carry correct licensee disclosure. A designer doesn't know to ask. You find out when someone queries it.
Your TradeMe listing is the biggest shop window you have. A stretched or wrongly cropped logo there quietly undoes everything else you paid for.
A pre-list kit, CMA and market appraisal get used at one specific moment in a listing presentation. Someone who has never sat through an appraisal makes something handsome that doesn't win the listing.
Every new agent needs cards, a board, Open Home signs, an email signature and a treated portrait. A generalist quotes you a brand, then re-quotes at project rates the first time you grow.
Listings live in BoxDice, VaultRE, Eagle or Rex. A template site can't ingest a feed, so you either hand-enter every listing forever or pay a second supplier to fix it.
A designer hands you artwork. Then you're sourcing a signwriter, a corflute supplier, a flag manufacturer and a printer — and project-managing all four while trying to list property. I already know who does this work, and they already know how I supply it.
Photos land Tuesday. The board has to be in the ground by Saturday or you lose a weekend of buyers and the vendor notices. I work around the real estate market — if you need something before a listing goes live, we'll make it happen.
The quote isn't the cost. The cost is the rounds spent explaining what a CMA is, the reprint when the board came back at the wrong spec, the second supplier you hired for the website, and the re-quote every time you take on an agent.
The right comparison isn't what a logo costs. It's what you stop handing over the day you leave.
What the franchise takes
Every year.
A percentage of every commission you write, for as long as you're there — for a brand you don't own and can't take with you.
The Launch Package
$16,500
Once. For a brand that's yours, and an asset that stays on your balance sheet.
You already know your number. Put it next to this one.
You tell me the day you go live. Everything works backwards from there.

Naming, positioning and two visual directions. You choose one; we refine it together.
The whole system produced — every file print-ready, every spec correct, nothing outsourced.
Signs at the printer, cards in your pocket, kit in your bag. Ready for the first appraisal.
I'm Ben Turner. I run bt media from Christchurch, and I've been designing for New Zealand businesses for twenty years.
Before that I was creative director at Mike Pero Real Estate. I know what a franchise gives an agent — the signage system, the listing collateral, the presentation kit — because I used to build it. I also know exactly which parts of it you'll miss on day one.
Most designers hand you a logo and a Squarespace template. I deliver the identity, the print-ready signage at every size your installer needs, the REAA-compliant lockups, the portal logos built to TradeMe and OneRoof specification, the pre-list kit that wins the listing — and a custom website if you want one, because I build production software as well as brands.
No account manager, no juniors, no handover. The person you speak to on the first call is the person who builds it.
“Ben Turner was my creative director at Mike Pero Real Estate, and a major component in our marketing team. I've never worked with a more obliging and more talented graphic designer.”Mike P. — Founder, Mike Pero Group of Companies
Yes, 100%. Source files, print-ready PDFs, web files and editable templates. Once it's done and paid for, your brand is yours — which is rather the point of leaving.
It often does. Everything is scheduled backwards from your go-live date, so if the date shifts, the schedule shifts with it. Tell me early and it costs nothing.
A new agent onboarding pack is $350 — cards, board artwork, Open Home signs, email signature and a treated portrait, all to the existing system. No re-quote, no rebuild.
Yes — $8,000 to $12,000 depending on scope. Agent profiles, locations, divisions, and a listing feed wired into your CRM rather than typed in by hand.
Because you should know what it costs before you commit, and because you shouldn't pay more just because something took me longer. The price is the price.
Thirty minutes, no obligation, and you'll leave with a realistic timeline whether or not you work with me. The agents who get this right start planning months out.
